Cardiotocography (CTG) group is since 2010 a subgroup within the Biomedical Signal Analysis Group (BioDat) at the Dept. of Cybernetics, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Czech Technical University in Prague.
Main goal of the group is to research and develop methods for automatic evaluation of CTG recordings . To do that in the real-life clinical conditions, supporting projects were necessary:
- New open-acess CTG database was collected at the University Hospital in Brno.
- Additional evaluations of CTG records in the CTU-UHB database were made available.
- CTG Viewer Lite allows clinicians to browse through the signals in the database.
- CTG annotator (in Czech only) was developed to enable collection of expert (subjective)evalatuation for each CTG signal in the database.
- Delivery Book (in Czech only) was developed to support research in the mining of the obstetrics data since acquisition of the data from the current obstetrics' hospital information system (HIS) database was found very tedious.

- Three new PhD positions/topics are offered within the group. The topics are:
- Time series analysis for clinical decission support (Analýza časových řad pro účely podpory klinického rozhodnutí)
- New approach to classification algorithms for analysis of data with crowd-sourced ground truth (Algoritmy pro klasifikaci vícenásobně hodnocených dat)
- Identification, analysis and knowledge representation for clinical decission support (Analýza a reprezentace znalostí pro podporu klinického rozhodování)
- Workshop on Signal Processing and monitoring in Labour was organized on 17/03/2015 - 19/03/2015, together with the ENS in Lyon and University of Oxford in Lyon, France. List of talks and video-recordings of all invited speeches can be found [here].
